Flu vaccines for 50-64 year olds please come back to this page for updates

Page Content

Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first.  If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.

Please remember to use the E Consult tool for all consultations see below:

Immunising your child during Covid-19

The surgery is still open for essential medical care such as immunisations and appointments count as an important medical reason to leave your home. Immunisations help to protect your baby from disease and it’s really important that the vaccines and boosters are given in a timely manner even in the current pandemic. Please contact the surgery if you would like to discuss any concerns with our clinician.

  • Use NHS 111 online ( People should only call NHS 111 if they cannot use the online 111 tool.

Do not call the GP surgery unless you need to. The surgery phone lines are facing high demand. Please use the online 111 tools to try to self manage first or call the surgery for a telephone appointment with a doctor if it determines this is still necessary.

YOU NEED TO REGISTER for the NHS app ASAP! ( to be able to book telephone consultations over the phone, request prescriptions and look at test results. The identification process can occur completely online and you do not need to come into the surgery to do this.

For patients that are unable to use these online tools, and all self care measures have been exhausted or your symptoms are worsening or you have a significant health concern, please call the surgery. All appointments have been switched to telephone/video consultations and only patients that really need to be seen face to face after being assessed on the phone by a clinician will be.

The practice will continue to have processes to ensure childhood immunisation and other essential care continues.

If you are seen at the surgery your clinician may need to wear gloves, gown and mask so do not be alarmed.

If you have not been setup electronically with your pharmacist, you will be asked on the telephone for your nominated pharmacy so that your prescription can be sent electronically there.

NOTE: We cannot test for COVID 19.

Casualty Attendance

Most Emergency problems can be very adequately managed by our practice and there should seldom be a need to go to A&E.  As you will see we have increased the number of hours that we are open and we offer two late night surgeries to help improve access.  You will also see that we have now developed a website that is packed full of useful health information that you may find useful when you are suffering from an illness.

We always have appointments on the day available and we also discuss problems on the telephone if that is your preferred choice of consultation.

Out of Hours

If you are unwell in the evening, overnight, on a bank holiday or at the weekend and you are unable to wait to see your GP, please call the NHS Care Service on 111. Calls to 111 are free from landlines and mobiles.

Patient Comments

Your feedback is important to us, this is what Patients say about the surgery

>> Always found doctors/nurses/staff very helpful and very polite. <<
>> Always helpful and ready to advise <<
>> Because I am a patient in this clinic since August 1962 <<
>> Because I feel as though I get seen to when needed and receive good care. I think the telephone system could be better by having an evening system. <<
>> Can't get urgent or quick appointments. <<
>> Difficulty of getting appointments. have to wait over a week <<
>> Doctors excellent, great you can do blood test at surgery, minor procedure <<
>> Dr Akin-Deko is great and very helpful. Thank you <<
>> Dr Mass excellent with my 3 year old, he loves coming to the Dr! Generally good availability of appts, good dr + staff. extended opening hours <<

>> Excellent all round service <<
>> Excellent staff and service. Very efficient, friendly and helpful. <<
>> Friendly and helpful staff. Much more accommodating than private GP practice. <<
>> Friendly, helpful service <<
>> Good service <<
>> Good surgery on the whole. Reception area not ideal or room locations. A list of Doctors/photos in the practice with any specialisms would be helpful to new patients so can request appointments to appropriate Doctors. Reception contact feels rushed with a queue forming sometimes. Assumed everyone knows the systems of the surgery - leaflet explaining would help. Have memory problems so a note on leaving an appt would be helpful - access to these online by individual patients would be useful too..... if this is at all possible. <<
>> had no problems with doctors or staff <<
>> I always find the treatment given is very good. <<
>> I am always treated politely and efficiently by all staff, and my doctor always has time for me and seems genuinely interested. <<
>> I do feel your surgery is helpful, but sometimes there have been mistakes made with the prescriptions. Fortunately, not often, but I feel this should be looked into. <<
>> I have been a patient for many years and always been happy <<
>> I have found the service provided by the practice to be of a high standard. I have confidence in the medical staff. <<
>> I Like Dr Daitz <<
>> It has all worked very well. The clinic is very busy, but they really do their best to personalise things. <<
>> It is a friendly clinic who are always willing to help even if they don't have any appointments left for the day they will try to help in giving advice about where, in an emergency you can get help straight away. <<
>> It took nearly three weeks to get an appointment with Dr of choice. <<
>> It's very difficult to get an appointment. I feel you need to be open later most evenings and there should be weekend appointments. Some Doctors are better than others and the ones that I have great confidence in are really difficult to get an appointment with. <<
>> Ive had long term illness and the surgery helped to get me back on my feet. They did everything i could have hoped for and more and i feel like I am almost there. I dont think i would have got the same treatments/help and support without them. <<
>> local, friendly, not too crowded when i have been <<
>> Management of the Practice, particularly in relation to administration, i.e repeat prescriptions and politeness of staff, is very good. <<
>> Most of reception staff are very helpful & polite. I am not impressed by the lay - out of the waiting room. Other patients are coughing all over me because we are too close <<

>> The fact that you can have an appointment with a doctor on the day if you have an urgent problem. <<
>> The helpfulness of staff <<
>> The practice provides excellent care, and I've never had a problem getting an appointment at short notice on the few occasions this has been necessary. This is in stark contrast to the reports I hear from friends and relatives registered elsewhere. I think you run an exceptionally good service, which has got better and better over recent years. <<
