Important!

We are now in the delay phase of our response to COVID-19. This entails significant changes to how we identify and manage potential cases of COVID-19.

  • 1. From today the public are being advised to stay at home (self-isolate) without any testing for COVID-19, regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases, if they have:

  • a. A new continuous cough OR

  • b. High temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher)

  • 2. The geographic element of the case definition has now been removed. Travel and contact history are no longer important for diagnosis, which is on the basis of symptoms alone. If people who have travelled do not have symptoms they do not need to stay at home, regardless of their travel history.

Individuals should stay at home (self-isolate) for 7 days from the onset of symptoms.

If more serious symptoms develop that they cannot manage at home they should firstly use NHS 111 online (https://111.nhs.uk/). People should only call NHS 111 if they cannot use the online 111 tool.


APPOINTMENTS:

Do not call the GP surgery unless you need to. The surgery phone lines are facing high demand. Please use the online 111 tools to try to self manage first or call the surgery for a telephone appointment with a doctor if it determines this is still necessary.

DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY UNLESS YOUR GP TELLS YOU TO DO SO

YOU NEED TO REGISTER for the NHS app ASAP! (https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-app) to be able to book telephone consultations over the phone, request prescriptions and look at test results. The identification process can occur completely online and you do not need to come into the surgery to do this.

For patients that are unable to use these online tools, and all self care measures have been exhausted or your symptoms are worsening or you have a significant health concern, please call the surgery. All appointments have been switched to telephone/video consultations and only patients that really need to be seen face to face after being assessed on the phone by a clinician will be.

The practice will continue to have processes to ensure childhood immunisation and other essential care continues.

If you are seen at the surgery your clinician may need to wear gloves, gown and mask so do not be alarmed.


PRESCRIPTIONS:

If you have not been setup electronically with your pharmacist, you will be asked on the telephone for your nominated pharmacy so that your prescription can be sent electronically there.

Need to see a GP in the evening or on the weekend?
Routine and urgent evening and weekend appointments with a GP or nurse are available for all Enfield patients at one of four GP hubs.

Appointments are available:

  • Monday to Friday: 6.30pm - 8pm
  • Weekends and public holidays: 8am - 8pm

To request an appointment speak to the practice reception staff or call 111 in the evenings or weekends when the practice is closed.

From Monday 1 July  03000 333 666 telephone will no longer be available.

To obtain your results please ring our reception Monday to Friday afternoon between 2 - 4 pm.

Casualty Attendance

Most Emergency problems can be very adequately managed by our practice and there should seldom be a need to go to A&E.  As you will see we have increased the number of hours that we are open and we offer two late night surgeries to help improve access.  You will also see that we have now developed a website that is packed full of useful health information that you may find useful when you are suffering from an illness. 

We always have appointments on the day available and we also discuss problems on the telephone if that is your preferred choice of consultation.

Out of Hours

If you are unwell in the evening, overnight, on a bank holiday or at the weekend and you are unable to wait to see your GP, please call the NHS Care Service on 111. Calls to 111 are free from landlines and mobiles.

*****New****Online Repeat Prescriptions and Appointments Booking and Cancellation

We have now setup a repeat prescriptions and appointment booking and cancellation service which is directly connected to our clinical system. This is an upgrade from the previous service which was accessed through this website.

As this service is directly linked to your clinical data you have to register (or re-register if you were using the old system) by either registering online or from reception desk. If you register online, you will be able to use the online appointment booking once until you come to the surgery with your photo ID when a member of staff will be able to approve your registration.  For repeat prescription, you will need to come to the surgery for approval first. These steps are important to protect security and confidentiality of your information.

Once registered you will be able to view the repeat medications which are on the surgery's clinical system and which can be requested. Medications which need reauthorization from the doctor (where it says: Please see GP to order more) are not going to be on this list and can't be requested through the online system.

You will also be able to see the routine appointment slots available for different doctors and will be able to book or cancel your appointment online. This service is not for emergency appointments which should be booked by calling the surgery. The online appointment system has inbuilt restrictions to prevent multiple bookings.

If a doctor has agreed that you should have repeat prescriptions, please hand in the computer slip with the items you need clearly marked, you can request repeat prescription on line or sending the computer slip by post.

Please allow 48 hours for the prescription to be ready and signed. Prescriptions can be collected from the surgery or can be posted to you if you provide a stamped self-addressed envelope.

You will be asked to make an appointment to have your medication reviewed at regular intervals, generally every 6 months.

Please note: we are unable to take telephone, email or fax requests for prescriptions.
